Jacob is the Director of Fundraising for Volunteers of America Northern New England. Volunteers of America is the nation's largest provider of affordable housing and is widely known for its work with seniors, corrections, youth and people with mental illnesses. It operates thousands of human service programs nationwide and serves more than two-million people in 400 communities across 44 states each year. Here, Jacob's work focuses on the development of capital and operating funds for the organization's programs and services in Northern New England.  Prior to joining Volunteers of America, Jacob was Director of Development for Frannie Peabody Center an HIV/AIDS organization in Portland, Maine and, prior to that, performed community assessments, grass-roots organizing and grant proposal development for Community Action Council, a leading anti-poverty organization in Lexington, Kentucky.

 


Jacob holds a B.A. in Social Work from the University of Kentucky.  He lives in Portland with his wife Emily and in his spare time enjoys sailing, gardening and wood working.
