Chandrika Sanyal was born in India and moved to United States at the age of 23.  She has a Bachelor's degree in Science from University of Calcutta. Chandrika was in the natural food industry for 17 years and owned and operated The Whole Grocer in Portland until it was acquired by Whole Foods Market in 2006.  She opened Whole Foods' first store in Portland in 2007 as a Store Leader.  Currently Chandrika owns a "Green" products company through which she distributes "green" technology and organic products.
