Dave Widener, President
Director of Information Technology and Project Management, Dead River Company
Geography is Dave’s true passion and as such, Dave holds a master’s degree in Environmental Geography from Ohio University. Dave sheepishly admits that he moved to Maine without ever first visiting – so fascinated was he by the states geography, which was based on a childhood passion of studying maps, specifically maps of New England and the State of Maine. Maine proved to be more beautiful in person than any map could translate and served in rekindling Dave’s love of being outside. In fact, it was Maine that rekindled Dave’s interest in a lot of things, including sustainable business.
